Davido begs Naira Marley and Ruggedman to smoke peace pipe

Spread the love

Afrobeat star Davido has called on singer Niara Marley and veteran rapper Ruggedman to quash their differences and make peace in the music industry.

His comments come on the back of the recent exchange between both musicians on social media regarding internet fraud.

It can be recalled that Naira Marley argued, a few weeks back, that slavery justifies internet fraud, popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo.

Ruggedman slammed Naira Marley for making those statements that appear to endorse cybercrime which is prevalent among the youth.

In a post on Instagram, he warned Marley not to mislead his followers into thinking it’s a good thing as there are legal consequences when caught.

But just when we thought the heat in the kitchen had cooled down, tension has erupted again as Naira Marley has taken a swipe at Ruggedman for describing him as an up and coming artiste in a recent interview.

Reacting to the development on Instagram live, Marley jabbed Ruggedman.

He said: You’re nobody. Stop saying my name. Your time is gone. I’m an up and coming artiste, you’re a down going artiste… You’re a moron. Are you even a musician? Who are you? Stay away from me.”

However, Davido believes the animosity between the two talents can get ugly if care is not taken.

He shared a video on Instagram urging Marley and Ruggedman to “let love lead” and channel their energies into producing hit songs that would put the country on the map, in a good light.
