DaBaby is calling BS on months-long rumors of having to give away free tickets to his shows because of low sales.
With a video of a packed-out venue from his Atlanta tour stop on Thursday night (November 17), the “Suge” rapper let his fans and detractors know not to believe the hype.
“Whoever paying them blogs to post dat bullshit needa get they money back,” he wrote with a crying laughing emoji. “It ain’t working n-gga. We showing up in real life & we flipping shit upside DOWN.”

Rumors of poor-selling shows for the North Carolina rapper began in August when his New Orleans show was cancelled.
NOLA.com reported that fewer than 500 advance tickets had been sold for the 14,000-seater arena, with some going for as little as $35. The rapper’s booking agent denied the reports, however, saying instead the issue was a breach of contract on the promoter’s behalf.
Earlier this month, DaBaby’s issues became a trending topic once again as various Twitter users pointed out there was a “buy one, get one free” ticket offer for his show in Birmingham, Alabama on November 15. The tickets were listed at $22 with a $5.92 fee, with two tickets available for the price of one at the 1,300-capacity venue.
The latest ticket controversy claim came just hours before the video he posted from Atlanta, when a woman on Twitter alleged DaBaby came to her job at the Cheesecake Factory in an attempt to give out free tickets to a show he was doing the following day – a gesture she said was declined by herself and multiple co-workers.

Amid the ticket issues, DaBaby’s Baby On Baby 2 album’s dismal first-week sales added to the apparent fall from grace, as its 16,000 album-equivalent units didn’t even make the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. This paled in comparison to his prior release, 2020’s Blame It On Baby, which debuted at No. 1 with 124,000 album-equivalent units.
DJ Akademiks suggested the rapper was being “blackballed” by the music industry, a sentiment with which both Meek Mill and Boosie Badazz echoed in agreement.
The North Carolina native doesn’t seem to be cracking under the pressure, however, responding to the low sales with a pat on the back. “No bad for da BlackBalled Baby,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories at the time.
The rapper’s fall from grace is likely to do with his controversial Rolling Loud performance in summer 2021, during which he decided to bring out Tory Lanez as his special guest — just before Megan Thee Stallion.
But the biggest backlash came when later in his performance he made some homophobic comments that quickly forced corporate sponsors, collaborators and others to denounce the rapper.
