Contesting on ‘corrupt’ NDC’s ticket not a good idea – Leila Djansi to Dumelo
Many Ghanaian celebrities have congratulated Actor John Dumelo for his decision to contest the parliamentary primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Ayawaso West Wuogon.
Among Ghana’s movie stars who sent their felicitations to John Dumelo after he posted his campaign poster on his social media handles were; Yvonne Nelson, Peace Hyde, Regina Van-Helvert, Mawuli Gavor and Prince David Osei.
But, American and Ghanaian filmmaker, Leila Djansi is not pleased with Dumelo’s intention to contest the parliamentary primaries on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.
She posited that Dumelo’s intention to enter into politics was good but was worried Dumelo would be contesting on the ticket of the NDC describing the main opposition party as ‘high-level corruption dealmakers’ party.
“I love my brother John, but this is a no no for me. Unless he changes his associates; the bus branding people, high level corruption dealmakers, and does something for the ordinary citizen with all the power he already has, I’m not sure I can fully back this. Not yet.” She posted on her Facebook Timeline.
The movie star shared his campaign poster with a caption on social media.
He wrote:“It’s time for Ayawaso West Wuogon….it’s time to listen and serve the interest of the people. It’s time for change….I John Dumelo, humbly ask you to support me on this journey…..God bless Ghana. #takingaction#gettingresults#idey4u.
