Christians in Ghana are wasting their time, Christ didn’t die for us – Kumawood Actor Sly

Kumawood actor, Sylvester Agyapong aka Sly has vehemently stated that he is not a Christian because in his view Christ did not come to die for Ghanaians as many people in the country have forced themselves to believe. According to him, Jesus Christ stated in the Bible that he came for ONLY the Israelites and no other race or group of people who have emerged afterward.

The well-built actor made this strange pronouncement when he had a chat with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show at Tracy Boakye’s Short Code located at Patasi. Adding more and better particulars about his claims that being a Christian in Ghana is useless, Sly stated that people have consistently prayed in public and helped those who are in need publicly even though the Bible speaks against such actions.

Asked if his claim meant that top men of God like Duncan Williams, Mensah Otabil and others have all lost their way because they have been preaching as Christian pastors, he gave an emphatic yes answer. He explained that he does not understand why many people who have attained some high form of education usually go to some churches pastored by uneducated men of God and ask them to explain the Bible to them.

Sly, who has not been to church for about four year now, ended his rant with the claim that people who are always going to Church and calling themselves Christians are wasting their time. He emphasized that he does not see why he should always be in the church and at the end of the day have no assurance about whether or not he will have a long life or wealth.
