Cam’ron Responds To Actor Omar Gooding’s Fiery Diss Song ‘Fix Ya Mouth’

Cam’ron‘s recent comments about the career paths of Black actors inspired a rapped response from one of the examples he mentioned, Omar Gooding — but Cam doesn’t seem troubled.

Back in December, Cam had 50 Cent as a guest on It Is What It Is, the Dipset rapper’s show with Ma$e. They discussed issues veteran actors can run into— having to wait to be cast, rather than financing their own projects.

“No disrespect to nobody I’m talking about,” Cam began. “But [if you’re] Ving Rhames, you’re sitting around, or Omar Gooding Jr., y’all n-ggas sitting around. I would have saved my money and shot my own shit by now. But a Black actor has to sit around for a 50 Cent or somebody in your lane to come pick them up to put them in something.”

Gooding apparently didn’t like being mentioned (nor having a “junior” added to his name, presumably in an inadvertent conflation with Cuba Gooding Jr.). He responded on Saturday (January 25) with the diss song “Fix Ya Mouth,” which he labeled his “official response to Camron’s controversial statements.”

“Not a fan of the word ‘Diss.’ I just respond when my name is brought up even if its pronounced ignorantly like by adding a Jr. and I live in my Hip Hop,” Gooding wrote on Instagram.

“I’ve got a WHOLE LOT to say.. time to speak up. This record is simply a teaser but its gotten yall attention so buckle up!”

Cam responded to a different Gooding IG post about the song with a comment filled with face-palm and crying-laughing emojis, saying, “Lo[l] my bad bro. I don’t want no smoke.”

In other Killa Cam news, it appears that he will be joining Eminem on the list of rap cameos set to appear in the forthcoming Adam Sandler film, Happy Gilmore 2.

In a recent post to his Instagram in front of the logo for his newest talk show Talk With Flee, Killa posed with his staff and wrote, “Put the whole team in da movie. #HappyGilmore2.”
