Blake Shelton Compares His Relationship with Wife Gwen Stefani to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Romance
The country star praised Kelce for his “big personality” and expressed admiration for him and Swift “putting it out there in everybody’s face”
Blake Shelton admires the way Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have handled the public nature of their relationship.
In a new interview on The Pat McAfee Show, the 48-year-old country star praised Kelce, 34, for his “big personality” and expressed admiration for him and Swift, 34, “putting it out there in everybody’s face” — similarly to how he and wife Gwen Stefani approached their romance.
Shelton spoke about feeling like Kelce and Swift are a good pair because the Kansas City Chiefs tight end doesn’t live in the shadow of the “Karma” singer’s fame.
“He’s a standout no matter where he is or what he’s doing. He’s just got this big personality. He’s a funny guy,” said the musician. “He walks into the room, and he has a presence there, so there’s never going to be that moment where he’s in the shadows anyway just because of his charisma and his personality anyway.”
The “God’s Country” performer added of Kelce, “He just kind of owns the moment, whatever that is, whether it’s that picture you just had up there at one of her shows, you know? He’s just willing to go there. I love his personality. He’s a ton of fun — his brother too. I’m a fan of both of theirs.”
Looking to Swift and Kelce’s future, Shelton expressed that he believes they could be together for the long run. “I do, and the fact that they’re both just kind of putting it out there in everybody’s face. There’s no sneaking around, or trying to tamp things down or keep it on the down low,” he said.
