Beyoncé celebrated becoming the most decorated artist in Grammys history with JAY-Z, Kelly Rowland and more.
On Wednesday (February 8), Bey posted a video on Instagram giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her celebrations after breaking the record for the most wins at the Grammy Awards. Queen Bey now has 32 Grammy wins to her name after earning four awards at the 2023 ceremony last weekend.
The video montage features candid footage of Beyoncé’s historical night, such as her accepting the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Renaissance inside Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, posing for pictures, partying with her loved ones and more. In one part, the Houston native can be seen dancing with her husband JAY-Z.
Beyoncé picked up her 29th through 32nd Grammy wins at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night (February 5). In addition to Best Dance/Electronic Album, she also won Best Dance/Electronic Recording (“Break My Soul”), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”) and Best R&B Song (“Cuff It”).

“Thank you so much, I’m trying not to get too emotional; I’m trying just to receive this night,” Beyoncé said while holding back tears after earning her historic 32nd Grammy. “I wanna thank God for protecting me. Thank you God. I’d like to thank my uncle Johnny, who’s not here… but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents – my mother, my father – for loving me and pushing me.
“I’d like to thank my beautiful husband,” she continued, “my beautiful three children who are watching at home. I’d like to thank the Queer community for your love and for inventing this genre.”
Beyoncé went into the evening with nine nominations, pushing her career total to 88, making her the most nominated artist in Grammys history — tied with her husband JAY-Z, who added another three nods to his name thanks to his show-stealing verse on DJ Khaled’s “God Did,” which he performed to close out the ceremony.
Despite her Grammys dominance, Beyoncé has yet to win an Album of the Year award. Renaissance was nominated in the category this year, but lost out to Harry Styles’ Harry’s House, making her 0 for 4 in her career. The BeyHive was upset and took their frustrations to social media.
“There is something infuriatingly racist about the vast majority of Beyoncé’s #grammys being in R&B categories while having 4 nominations for AOTY and winning 0 times. ZERO. Meanwhile, artists like Taylor Swift has THREE under her belt. Good night,” one fan tweeted.
Another said: “4 nominations and 0 AOTY awards for Beyonce?? Y’all playing with us #GRAMMYs.”
JAY-Z sat down for a candid chat with TIDAL’s Elliott Wilson and explained why Queen Bey deserved to win AOTY.
“Look what it’s done to the culture,” he said of his wife’s latest LP. “Look how the energy of the world moved. They play her whole album in the club. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that. The whole entire joint — like, everything?! Every remix is amazing. Everyone’s inspired. It has inspired the world. Every remix is better than the other one.”
