Bebe Rexha has offered updates on her eye injuries. One day after having her face struck by a thrown mobile phone while performing at a concert in New York, the “In the Name of Love” singer assured her devotees that she is “good.”
The 33-year-old singer offered a closer look at her injured eye on Monday, June 19. Through an Instagram post, she let out a series of photos. One of the photos she shared showed white bandages that covered up a number of stitches slightly under her left brow.
Despite the injury, Bebe still managed to pose with a smile and give a thumb up for the camera in the snap. Another photo she posted, however, displayed a red cut below her left brow as well as her swollen and purple eyelid. Still, in the caption of the post, she insisted, “Im good.”
Bebe’s Instagram update gained her support from her famous friends. Fellow singer Demi Lovato wrote, “Love you girly.. I’m so sorry this happened to you.” Apple Music host Brooke Reese chimed in, “This was so incredibly rude & inappropriate. You are the kindest human being, so glad you’re ok [red heart emoji].”
YouTuber James Charles, in the meantime, simply penned in the comments section of Bebe’s post, “Love you Bebe.” Additionally, actor Lukas Gage showered her with love by writing, “Sending you [three red heart emojis].”
Bebe sustained the eye injury while performing onstage for her “Best F’n Night of My Life Tour” in New York City on Sunday, June 18. A video uploaded on Twitter by one of the concertgoers showed a phone thrown from the audience hit the “Meant to Be” hitmaker in the face.
“Absolutely great show ruined by a fan throwing their phone at @BebeRexha hopefully she is ok after that,” the caption accompanying the clip read. The video, meanwhile, further showed Bebe falling to her knees while holding her face. It did not take long for her to be escorted backstage.
In the wake of the incident, Bebe reportedly got three stitches to mend her injury. “Bebe Rexha’s mother reveals that she had to get three stitches after someone in the audience threw a phone at her head during her concert,” PopBase shared in a tweet. According to ABC7NY, the concertgoer who threw the phone, Nicolas Malvagna, was arrested for assault.
