Bad Bunny Breaks His Tie With Taylor Swift

Bad Bunny owns half of the top 10 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., scoring three new wins this week, which helps him push past Taylor Swift’s all-time record. Bad Bunny bests Taylor Swift on several Billboard charts this week. As his latest album Debí Tirar Más Fotos rises to the summit on the Billboard 200, keeping her Lover: Live From Paris at bay, he also manages to push past the superstar on another highly competitive list, though in a very different fashion.

Three songs from Debí Tirar Más Fotos rise into the top 10 on the current edition of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. As those cuts soar in their second frame on the ranking of the most-consumed songs throughout the world—with all information from America excluded—he breaks a historic tie with Swift.

Bunny has now scored 23 total top 10 smashes on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. throughout his career. He claims the record for the most such hits among all artists on the worldwide roster, which was introduced in 2020.

Last week, the Latin rapper collected a pair of new top 10s, and as he did, he matched Swift. The two were tied with 20 appearances inside the highest tier on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. among all acts for just a few days, but now he’s forced her to step down to second place, at least for the time being.

Swift, like several other hugely popular musicians, has no issue scoring new global hits whenever she has music to share. The singer-songwriter is expected to drop two more re-recordings of her albums Reputation and her self-titled debut at some point soon, and either of them—or likely, both—will produce more top 10s, by which point she may tie or even pass Bunny once more.

This week, Bunny owns half of the top 10 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Two tunes that reached the region last frame, “DTMF” and “Nuevayol,” rise from where they sat previously. The former jumps from No. 9 to second place, while the latter song grows from No. 10 to No. 5.
