Aubrey O’Day Warns Young Artists After Diddy’s Sentencing

Aubrey O’Day has issued a warning to young artists following the sentencing of Sean “Diddy” Combs. The former Danity Kane singer advised rising stars to protect themselves from people in power who abuse their influence.
In a message shared on X, O’Day told artists to trust their instincts and leave any situation that feels wrong. She wrote that if someone in a position of authority crosses boundaries or makes unfair demands, it is best to walk away and not look back.
Her warning came after Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
O’Day, who worked with Diddy during her time on *Making the Band*, has previously accused him of controlling behavior. She claimed in 2023 that Diddy asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement to stop her from speaking about her experiences.
She described the recent developments as “bittersweet,” saying they marked two decades since she first spoke out. O’Day also expressed support for other survivors, urging young artists to prioritize their safety and well-being over career opportunities.
Diddy apologized during his sentencing, calling his behavior “disgusting, shameful, and sick.” He was also fined $500,000 and will serve five years of supervised release after his prison term.
