Only those who are Brazilian know how difficult it is to be an athlete in our country. You need a lot of love, resilience, and willpower in place of everything else there is lack of. You are an example of fight and grit. I love you and support you now in victory and I love you and I support you in the future whatever it may be. ❤️”

On Thursday, Aug. 1, the “Mi Amor” performer also cheered on Andrade.

“Let’s go, Rebecaaaaa,” Anitta wrote in Portuguese (translated to English) on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Andrade has now won a total of six Olympic gold medals and has made history throughout her career.

Her silver medal in Tokyo marked the first time a South American woman made it to the all-around Olympic podium.
