Alyssa Milano was blasted as a ‘rich beggar’ for attending the Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, NV on Sunday with her 12-year-old son Milo Thomas Bugliari following her GoFundMe scandal.
Tickets to the biggest night in the NFL are said to cost between $950 and $9,500 on average, so the 51-year-old Charmed alum – whose estimated net worth is $10M – could clearly afford nice seats.
Alyssa’s post about ‘bonding’ with her ‘buddy’ received scathing comments from some of her captive, combined 10.5M social media followers.
Instagram user @tklowe17 wrote: ‘Sorry I can’t get past her GoFundMe crap.’
‘I hope you don’t get any negative backlash after you saying you couldn’t afford to pay for your son’s team trip,’ Instagram user @marshazolkower commented.
‘Now you bought these Uber expensive Super Bowl tickets. It’s pretty common knowledge that you have millions. Have a lovely day!’
Instagram user @dreadpiratechris wrote: ‘So you have money to take your kid to the Super Bowl but want other people to donate to your son’s baseball team?’
‘I’m surprised you didn’t ask people to donate for your Super Bowl trip. #richbeggar,’ Instagram user @total_ed commented.
Milano originally created the ‘BIRDS 12U Travel Fund’ GoFundMe on behalf of her second husband David Bugliari last year in order to raise funds for their son’s baseball team away games.
As of Sunday, the GoFundMe – which the Who Are You People producer-star reposted on January 25 – had successfully surpassed the $10K goal to raise $15,164.
‘Every parent raises money for their child’s sports teams and many of them do so through GoFundMe. I am no different,’ Alyssa wrote on February 1.
‘As much as I’d love to pay for the entire team and their families for travel, transportation, hotel, food and beverage, uniforms, trading pins and all the things teams do for this kind of trip – I cannot afford to do so. Maybe someday. Also, if I did pay for everyone – my trolls would find something else to be hurtful about.
‘Regardless of how you feel about me, going on to my hardworking 12 year old son’s Instagram page and leaving these kinds of messages is so horrid. Leave the kids alone. Let them play baseball. If you are against donating – don’t donate. If you’d like to donate to help the team’s families — we appreciate it. The link is in his bio.’
The married couple of 14 years are also proud parents of nine-year-old daughter Elizabella Dylan Bugliari, who’s already following in her acting footsteps.
As for Milano’s 43-year-old husband, he’s currently a founding partner at the talent management firm, Range Media Partners.
The Brooklyn-born beauty’s first big break was at age 11 playing Tony Danza’s daughter on Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter’s hit sitcom Who’s the Boss?, which aired for eight seasons ending 1992.
