Aaron Rodgers has already decided where he wants to play next year. After his expected departure from the New York Jets, the 21-year veteran has been waiting for offers to continue his career. However, in a recent interview, he revealed which city he would like to play in next.
Rodgers had a turbulent couple of years with the Jets. The Super Bowl XLV champion could not even complete his first game of the 2023 season, and the team did not perform well with him under center in 2024. After a disappointing 5-12 record last season, the management decided it was time for a separation.
A-Rod’s departure from the Jets unleashed an avalanche of speculation surrounding his future. Analysts and fans alike are constantly throwing out theories ranging from retirement to a move to Las Vegas. However, in a recent interview with Pat McAfee, Rodgers said he would like to stay in New York.

Rodgers loves New York
Despite his disappointing stint with the Jets, Rodgers remains fascinated with New York. Since arriving in the city two years ago, the four-time MVP said he is delighted to live there and recently reiterated his love for the city. “I really enjoyed my time in New York,” he said on The Pat McAfee Show.
“I mean, obviously we haven’t had the success that we’ve all wanted to have,” admitted A-Rod, “but, you know, I’ve made some good friendships on the team, and I’ve enjoyed living in Jersey.” Furthermore, the former Green Bay Packers quarterback gave a nod to the Giants.
After reiterating that he has enjoyed his time in the city and the love of the fans, Rodgers assured, “I came here to win. So I’m not jumping off the ship, you know, like, ‘Oh, I definitely wanna play and not in New York.’ Like, I don’t even know if I wanna play yet, but New York would be my first option.”
