JACK HARLOW DUBBED ‘NEXT DRAKE’ AFTER ‘CURSING’ BOSTON CELTICS’ NBA CHAMPIONSHIP HOPES

Jack Harlow has been dubbed the “next Drake” after “cursing” the Boston Celtics’ hopes of reaching the NBA Finals.

The Louisville rapper attended Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Monday (May 29), which saw the Miami Heat defeat the Celtics 103-84 despite Boston winning the last three games in the series and having home advantage.

Harlow was sat courtside inside the TD Garden and left no confusion as to which team he was rooting for as he rocked a green Celtics varsity jacket.

The 25-year-old’s outfit didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, with many claiming the Jack Harlow Curse has been “activated” following the game.

“Jack Harlow really is the next Drake, bro put a curse on the Celtics rn,” one person tweeted, while another wrote: “I guess Jack Harlow is gonna be the white Drake [crying face emoji] Swoop in and curse a team.”

One particularly upset Celtics fan placed the blame squarely on Missionary Jack, writing: “JACK HARLOW THIS IS YOUR FAULT GO CURSE ANOTHER TEAM YOU LAME ASS.”

The “Drake Curse” has become a running joke over the years with various players and teams suffering losses after the Toronto hitmaker showed his support — whether that’s wearing their jerseys, posing for photos with athletes and placing bets.

Earlier this week, Jack Harlow continued to rep the Boston Celtics throughout their closely-contested playoff series by wearing the team’s uniform at a tennis court.

Many were surprised by his support for the Celtics considering he has a hit song named after Miami Heat player Tyler Herro. The single, which was released in 2020, peaked at No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 and appeared on his debut album Thats What They All Say.

However, Jack Harlow has actually always been a Boston Celtics fan. During an interview with The Camera Guys in May 2022, he talked about following the Celtics as a kid and recalled the team acquiring Kevin Garnett when he was nine years old.

“I grew up a Celtics fan,” he said at the time. “When I was young, when KG got traded [to Boston], that’s when I made my decision, but I’ve been a Celtics fan my whole life.”
