DDG isn’t worried about anyone who’s hating on him – as he’s confident that he’s getting way more money than whoever has an issue with his art.
The YouTuber-turned-rapper made the claim amid a brief back and forth with underground artist Kankan on Sunday (May 21). After DDG tweeted his newest video, Kankan had retweeted it with, “This is fuking ass.”
Never one to miss an opportunity to troll, DDG replied by sharing a screenshot showing that nothing came up when he searched for certifications for any of Kankan’s music. He then followed it up with an additional thought.
“i only get hated on by n-ggas that’s 10x broker than me,” he tweeted. “from now on if u can’t show at least million cash liquid in your account i’m not responding to anything negative.”
The shots from Kankan aren’t the only vitriol coming DDG’s way online these days. Amid breakup rumors with girlfriend Halle Bailey earlier this month, Twitter user @ThePopTingz clowned him by referring to him as an “E-list rapper” in a tweet sparked by the pair unfollowing each other on Instagram.
“Halle Bailey and E-list rapper DDG are rumored to have broken up,” Pop Tingz wrote in a tweet that has amassed 72,000 likes as of press time.
With the tweet going viral, it finally made it onto DDG’s radar and the 25-year-old could do nothing but just laugh it off and credit the account for the jab.
“E-list rapper kinda funny ngl lol,” he wrote accompanied by a separate awkward video clip of him laughing off the troll.
Plenty of fans had a laugh at the “E-list” dig as well in the replies. “I ain’t even know there was an e list,” one person wrote, while another added: “E-list is taking me out! I just blasted into out space ohhhmygawshhh!”
Earlier this year, rumors of a DDG-Bailey split hit social media when it was uncovered that both parties didn’t follow one another on Instagram and the rapper scrubbed his IG account clean of The Little Mermaid star’s existence.
Halle Bailey and DDG began dating in January 2022 after being spotted at an Usher concert together but it’s unclear what their current relationship status is.
