While details are still scarce in the incident, the Chicago reported that a 27-year-old man was shot in the thigh on Chicago’s South Side on Sunday morning. Officials say the man, presumably Johnny May Cash, was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Some people believe the murder is related to a video released in January that allegedly involved Johnny May Cash pinning a woman against a wall and later hitting her in the head before she escaped. No charges were brought about in the incident.
Johnny May Cash was a rapper, who was signed to Young Chop, and he collaborated with Chicago artists, including Lil Durk. The two rappers teamed up for “I Go,” a track on Durk’s “Signed to the Streets 2” mixtape. Johnny and Durk also collaborated again on Young Chop’s “Ballin'” in 2013.
