Ghanaian hiplife trio popularly known as Praye has stated in an interview that they feel disrespected by Charterhouse, organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for not obtaining any nomination in this year’s edition.

According to Praye, made up of Stephen Fiawoo (Praye Tia Tia), Eugene Baah (Praye Ho ne ho) and Nana Kwame (Praye Tenten), their performance at the event last year saved the show and that they deserve some respect.

“George Quaye’s comment was a big disrespect to us. Last year we were one of the people who saved your show.

I find that very disrespectful because we are not kids in this game. He was wrong to talk us like we were just seeking some attention because we are not.

We have paid our dues in this game and we deserve respect from him. We have seen it all and produced back to back hits so it’s unfair to talk to us in that manner when we didn’t say anything wrong,”

The award-winning music trio and Charterhouse have not been on good terms recently after the group stated that some ‘mafia’ tactics is going on at the VGMA board that was why they failed to obtain any nomination this year.

The group further stated that the award show is not credible since its twenty years in existence.

However, in reacting to the above allegations, the PRO of Charterhouse George Quaye stated that the group is made up of three handsome blokes seeking for attention.

George Quaye added that their concerns are baseless and that they should concentrate on making a hit song since their recent single “Gbang gbai” didn’t ‘fly’.
