Jamaican Dancehall artiste, Vybz Kartel, has commented on Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale’s new single titled ‘Island’.
After the self-proclaiming King of African Dancehall, Shatta Wale posted a lyrics video of his single ‘Island’ on Instagram, Vybz Kartel commented and wrote “Bomboclaat fire”.
In response to what Vybz Kartel wrote, Shatta Wale wrote: “still learning from da teacher…bless up”.

This is not the first time Ghana is hearing of a connection between the Gaza camp and the Shatta Movement camp.
From last year, there was news of a possible collaboration between the two controversial artistes but that is yet to happen.
Even though the two artistes have not recorded a song together yet, there seems to be a tight bond between the two dancehall acts.
Shatta Wale has said on many occasions that he admires Vybz Kartel and regards him as an idol and a teacher.
It is out of such allegiance that Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, began to know about Shatta Wale and his music.
It is, however, a plus for Shatta Wale because to be recognized by a top-notch artiste like Vybz Kartel means a lot.
‘Island’ which was produced by YGF records is a new single released by Shatta Wale.
