Reggae and Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has stated that he would be the happiest man on earth should he win the “Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year” award for the upcoming VGMA.
According to the “Bafira” hitmaker, winning the award come Saturday would make him five times winner in a row, a record that has not been made by any artiste in the history of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
“I would really really love to win the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year again this year so as to make it five times in a row for me. Jah knows I’ve put in the works”.
Justifying why he should win the award for the night, he revealed that he has performed on various big stages and has released songs under the year of review.
“I’ve been on proper stages in the year under review, I’ve released the songs as well, and so I just have to win this Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year category again.”
On voting, he revealed that he and his fans are voting to carry home the award on that night.
“Yes, the fans are voting, and I’m also voting, I really want to win his category again,” he told George Quaye on Joy FM.
The annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards comes off Saturday 18th May 2019 at the Accra International Conference center (AICC).
