Travis Scott’s Milan Show Brings Alarming Effect To Nearby Residents

Travis Scott (II) literally shakes Milan, Italy with his performance. The rapper drove fans crazy when he performed in front of 80,000 people to the point it was enough to make nearby residents think that there’s an earthquake.

A local news outlet claimed that concertgoers at Travis’ June 30 show at the La Maura racetrack in Milan as well as the music were so loud and rowdy that neighbors in the western area of the city felt earthquake-like shake. In footage circulating online, toys on a table were vibrating with house plants shaking inside a small home.

Upon watching the video, fans showed mixed responses on social media. “Bro really killing people and causing earthquakes. This n***a different Thanos $cott,” one person wrote. “Honestly bruh that’s a flex,” one other added.

“N***a caused the tectonic plates to shake, HES A GOAT,” one other said. Someone else, meanwhile, appeared to refer to Travis’ deadly Astroworld concert in 2021, saying, “Dude really not helping the crowd ritual allegations rn.”

Travis was hardly the first musician to produce an earthquake during concerts. Florence and The Machine did the same when they performed in front of 60,000 attendees at the Tempelhof Sounds festival at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, Germany last year.

According to a local German outlet, the crowd started jumping up and down around 9 P.M. and the vibrations were registered as an actual earthquake. “Three private seismological stations in the immediate vicinity of Tempelhofer Feld registered an above-average deflection, 1.4 on the local magnitude scale,” Data scientist Jens Skapski told the outlet at the time.

That aside, it was recently revealed that Travis wouldn’t face criminal charges in a criminal investigation of a deadly crowd surge at the 2021 Astroworld festival that killed 10 people and injured many. Scott’s lawyer Kent Schaffer confirmed that the Harris County grand jury had met and decided not to indict his client on any criminal charges stemming from the concert.

In the wake of the decision, the “SICKO MODE” emcee issued a statement through his representative. “Travis Scott will not be charged with criminal charges or any wrongdoing for his involvement with Astroworld festival,” his representative said at the time.

The rep continued, “Today’s decision by the Harris County District Attorney confirms what we have known all along – that Travis Scott is not responsible for the Astroworld tragedy. This is consistent with investigative reporting by numerous media outlets and federal and state government reports that have squarely placed the onus for event safety crises on organizers, operators and contractors — not performers.”

“While waiting patiently for the District Attorney’s decision to not file charges, Travis Scott has been inaccurately and wrongly singled out, despite stopping the show three separate times and being unaware of the events as they were unfolding. Now that this chapter is closed, we hope for the government efforts to focus on what is most important – stopping future heartbreaking tragedies like Astroworld from ever occurring again,” the statement concluded.
