TRAVIS SCOTT GETS MICHAEL JORDAN CO-SIGN WHILE TEASING ‘UTOPIA’ COLLABORATION

Travis Scott has received Michael Jordan‘s elusive co-sign while teasing an upcoming collaboration with the NBA legend.

On Thursday (July 13), the Instagram account for Air Jordan posted a 30-second clip featuring a private conversation between La Flame and MJ speaking on some sort of collaborative project they have on the horizon.

In the clip, Travis Scott is seen talking with a group of people in Los Angeles when he receives a video call from the basketball icon. “What’s up, man? This a new meeting today, ain’t it,” Scott asks. “Oh man, it’s a new meeting today!”

“What are you doing, dog?” Jordan asks before Scott replies: “We over here trying to get it together. We working on that thang.”

MJ then lends his stamp of approval: “Nah, I saw it, man. It looks nice. You did a good job. I like it. I love it.”

A Jumpman and Utopia logo pops up at the end of the ad, which has sparked speculation from fans about whether the collab relates to Scott’s upcoming album or being another Jordan sneaker surrounding the project.

“He got Michael Jordan listening to modern rap??? Yeah he won,” one fan wrote on Twitter, while another said: “He might drop his MBDTF and cement himself as best of this generation idk I wasn’t hyped but he moving me now.”

Travis Scott and Air Jordan have a rich collaborative history as their highly sought-after kicks range from the Air Jordan 1 to Air Max’s and Nike Dunks. He’s even designed his own colorway of the Air Jordan 4 and 6 models, plus many more that have sold out within minutes.

The Houston rager and MJ’s relationship appears to be on great terms as well since Jordan even let Trav use his Illinois mansion as a location to shoot part of the 2020 “FRANCHISE” music video.

Travis Scott is gearing up to unveil his anticipated Utopia album with a concert at the ancient Pyramids of Giza in Egypt later this month on July 28.

La Flame has been ramping up the promo for his upcoming project, which will mark his first full-length release in five years following 2018’s Astroworld.
