Travis Scott & Drake’s “Sicko Mode” Makes Hip-Hop History
“Sicko Mode” will go down in the history books!
Songs with the most weeks in the Hot 100’s top 10:
33 – Shape of You, @edsheeran & Girls Like You, @maroon5 Feat. @iamcardib
32 – How Do I Live, @leannrimes & Closer, @TheChainsmokers Feat. @halsey
31 – Uptown Funk, @MarkRonson Feat. @BrunoMars & SICKO MODE, @trvisXX— chart data (@chartdata) March 11, 2019
According to XXL, Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” is spending its thirty-first week inside of Billboard’s Top 10, marking the first-ever time a hip-hop song has stayed in the Top 10 for that long. Chart Data adds that the only other artists to achieve this level of success with a single are Maroon 5 (with Cardi B), Ed Sheeran, Leeann Rimes, The Chainsmokers, and Mark Ronson (with Bruno Mars.) It’s quite possible that Travis Scott and Drake stick around for the most weeks in history in the Top 10. To be completely honest, we’re a little surprised that Drake hasn’t already reached that point.
Do you think “Sicko Mode” will last three more weeks to take the overall crown? La Flame is already on the verge of being ousted, sitting at No. 10 this week.
