When we saw Travis Kelce’s latest ‘fit, we immediately flashed back to our childhood days, gathering around our grandma’s dinner table.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, a noted flashy fashion enthusiast, recently donned a matching jacket and pants set covered in crocheted lace reminiscent of doilies and tablecloths. Kelce wore the outfit while heading to the Chiefs vs. Cleveland Browns game on December 15, styled with an enormous black leather bag that looks like it’s probably by Bottega Veneta.
But back to the lace! Travis Kelce’s jacket and pants are each made of denim and almost entirely covered in white lace, save for the pockets and collar of the jacket. According to People, the ensemble was a made-to-order set by the Los Angeles label Earthling VIP. The Poetic Lust jacket is made of vintage denim and “200 pieces of hand-appliquéd lace and crochet, sourced from the 1960s–1990s” and retails for $2250, and the matching pants ring up for the same price.
Kelce let the jacket and pants be the centerpiece of his look and styled it pretty simply, layering a white T-shirt underneath the jacket and keeping the white theme going with a beanie and sneakers. It’s grandma, but make it fashion? And honestly, it’s really cool that the brand is making these one-of-a-kind pieces with repurposed items, including some that were probably made by a grandma near you!

We’ve seen him in countless two-piece looks, including the orange and white ombré denim look he wore earlier this fall and, of course, the blue and white “1989” outfit he wore when leaving the stadium with Taylor Swift at the beginning of their relationship.
