Travis Kelce Looks Fresh Faced in ‘Year 1’ Photo Shared from Kansas City Chiefs ‘Archives’
Kelce was selected by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft
Travis Kelce is taking a run through the “archives.”
On Thursday, June 27, the Kansas City Chiefs shared several photos of their players during their first year on the team and compared them to how they look now.
“Went back into the archives for these 😁,” the NFL team wrote in their caption under the post.
Kicking off the carousel, 34-year-old Kelce’s “Year 1” photo showed him with slightly longer hair and a fresh baby face.
The tight end, who was 24 when the Chiefs selected him in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft, still featured his full beard as he looked straight into the camera in the throwback photo.
The snap was positioned alongside a more recent photo of Kelce bearing the caption “Year 12” which showed the athlete displayed a beaming smile while sporting shorter hair and a fuller beard.
The post also featured other teammates, including Patrick Mahomes, who looked equally fresh-faced in his “Year 1” photo as he grinned at the camera while wearing a little stubble on his chin.
Donning more facial hair in his “Year 8” snap, the quarterback displayed an even bigger smile as he posed for his headshot.
“They all look happier 😮💨,” one person said about the photos in the comment section.
The throwback snaps come after Kelce compared playing an NFL game at London’s Wembley Stadium to watching his girlfriend Taylor Swift perform at the same venue.
Speaking on an episode of his New Heights podcast released on Wednesday, June 26, Kelce spoke about watching Swift at Wembley during her London shows on the Eras Tour.
“Playing in front of 90,000 at Wembley Stadium? I remember 2015 playing in front of 80,000 in Wembley Stadium and then seeing Tay up there going crazy,” he said of the Kansas City Chiefs playing against the Detroit Lions at Wembley in 2015. “They get a lot louder for Taylor.”
