Travis Kelce Comments on *That* Viral Clip of Him Shoving Coach Andy Reid

The Super Bowl is always nail-biting, she said with the unearned authority of someone who rarely watches, but last night’s game was truly stressful thanks to the Chiefs scoring a touchdown in the very last seconds of overtime.

And while the team won in the end, there were a few tense moments throughout the matchup—including when Travis Kelce was caught on camera yelling at / shoving coach Andy Reid.

Both Andy and Travis spoke out about the shove following the game, with Andy explaining, “The part I love is he loves to play the game, and he wants to help his team win. It’s not a selfish thing, that’s not what it is, and I understand that. And so as much as, you know, he bumps into me, I get after him. And we understand that. He just caught me off balance.”

In another interview, the coach also joked, “He keeps me young. Tested that hip out. He caught me off balance, normally I’d give him a little bit, but I didn’t have any feet under me.”

Meanwhile, Travis, who was also asked about the moment, said, “Oh you guys saw that? Man, it was…I’m going to keep that between us unless my miked-up tells the world, but I was just telling him how much I love him.”

The athlete then went on to call Andy “the greatest coach this game has ever seen” before adding, “he’s one of the best leaders of men I’ve ever seen in my life.”

And in the wake of all this ^^, a source dished to Page Six that Travis is “just a passionate player and everyone’s on edge. It’s the Super Bowl! But there was no mal-intent. He respects Coach Reid. It’s really just about the passion of the game. It wasn’t anything serious.”
