Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes also attended the show at Arrowhead Stadium on Aug. 2
Kansas City Chiefs’ Kelce, 34, and Mahomes, 28, made a surprise appearance alongside Wallen, 31, during his show at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday, Aug. 2.
In footage posted on social media, the two teammates stepped out with the country singer, who wore his own bespoke Chiefs jersey with the number seven on the front — after his high school baseball team number. The jersey number is coincidentally also that of Chiefs player Harrison Butker, who recently sparked controversy over his May 11 commencement speech.
Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes also attended the concert and posted a video on her Instagram Stories of the trio’s entrance shown on the big screen in the stadium as her husband and Kelce walked with Wallen along a backstage corridor to “WHISKEY WHISKEY” by Moneybagg Yo, featuring Wallen.
“Look at my boys!” She was heard saying while cheering along with fans.
In a clip posted by a fan account on Instagram of the entrance, Wallen walked through a door backstage, followed by Kelce and then Mahomes as he shook their hands. He then walked in front of the pair nodding his head and waving his arms to the music as Kelce and Patrick did the same.
The tight end wore dark pants, a cap and a white t-shirt with “We’re Beer for You” written on it, while Patrick sported a blue button down and blue jeans.
At one point while walking, Wallen looked back and playfully nudged into Kelce while smiling. The trio then continued walking towards the stadium floor and Kelce and Wallen waved their arms in the air as they greeted the crowds of fans.
In a second video posted by Brittany, 28, she panned the camera over to the trio entering the stadium floor as she cheered.
Wallen’s latest concert appearance in his own Chiefs jersey comes as he is often seen sporting baseball jerseys at his shows in videos posted on social media.
