Tory Lanez Sued For Foreclosure On Miami Condo, Accused Of Defaulting On Payments
It seems Tory Lanez is having trouble keeping up on his mortgage. As reported by Radar, the Canadian crooner was handed legal papers from a company called BH 4908 LLC over the weekend. The company is suing Tory for foreclosure, accusing him of defaulting on payments on his Miami condo ever since buying the property in 2018.
Tory’s 2,182 square-foot penthouse was originally bought for $1.8 million, with the rapper reportedly taking out a loan with BH 4908 for $1.26 million. Tory initially agreed to pay $11,057.40 every month and agreed to make another deposit in December 2021. However, the LLC says they haven’t seen a penny from Tory and claim he now owes a total of $1,237,456.06 plus interest. The papers demand the home be foreclosed and sold off, and they want the 29-year-old lyricist to pay the difference between how much the home is sold for and the amount owed.
The legal filing comes as Tory’s criminal case against Megan Thee Stallion grows messier by the week. On February 23, Akademiks claimed that Tory Lanez’s DNA hadn’t been discovered on the gun allegedly used to shoot Megan in July 2020. As Megan and a handful of journalists all refuted this claim as fake news, Tory Lanez added to the discord by claiming apology texts he had sent Megan – which she had previously shared on social media to back up her claims – actually had nothing to do with the alleged shooting.
“Good D*ick had me fucking 2 best friends,” he wrote. “And I got caught. That’s what I apologized 4 … it’s sick how u spun it tho.”
The pair are due back in court on April 5.
