The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli state and President of the National House of Chiefs in Ho, Togbe Afede XIV, on Saturday, 29 June 2019 laid his mother, Rosalia Akuyo Anyawoe, to rest.
She died on 18 October last year and was buried after a two-week funeral rite. Ahead of the burial, ‘Afanyanya’, the book of condolence, was opened at the forecourt of the Asogli Palace on Monday, 24 June 2019.
The chief’s late mum was laid in state on 28 June 2019, followed by a burial mass at the OLA Senior High School park. The family is expected to hold a thanksgiving mass on 7 July 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral in Ho Bankoe.
Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, on behalf of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, led a government delegation to the funeral.
