Tiwaa Savage, others dump South Africa over Xenophobic attacks

A number of African celebrities and footballers have started raising their voices against ongoing xenophobic attacks on foreigners in South Africa.

Some Nigerians singers and the Zambia football team have in particular condemned the attacks.

Singer Tiwaa Savage in a tweet indicated that “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is sick.”

She continued “for this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”

Also, Nigerian Acrobats artiste, Burna Boy, has tweeted, condemning the renewed attacks which have reportedly led to the deaths of five persons.
