ICGC ( Holy Ghost Temple ) was the center of attraction last Sunday, 17th March 2019 as patrons from all walks of life thronged the place to support the 11th album launch of Rev. Obaapa Christy. The church with a capacity of 2500 had to eventually admit over 3000 patrons and several others at the gate.

Speaking to Quame Owusu Daquah, Obaapa Christy’s manager who was the organizer of the event, he admitted the number was outrageous “ I knew a lot of people would come but the numbers I saw sent shivers down my spine. My team did a diligent job as we allowed over 3000 people into the main auditorium.

The numbers at the gate were still many so we arranged for the video conference room which accommodated a little over one thousand. Again , the numbers kept increasing. So eventually , we had to arrange for an LED screen outside the auditorium for those outside.”

The event which witnessed over 5000 patrons had Joe Mettle, Piesie Esther, Joyce Blessing, Nhyira Suzzy, Brother Sammy, SP. Kofi Sarpong and a host of others taking turns on stage to minister to the audience . It also witnessed patronage from chiefs, politicians, actors etc .

In general, it was a well-organized album launch which will go down as one of the most patronized album launch the gospel fraternity has ever witnessed .
