The talk of Ghana for the past days has centered on Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) ban of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy who nearly turned the just ended VGMAs auditorium into a war zone.
A lot of people especially industry players have added their voice to the acceptability or whatsoever of the ban of the two Dancehall giants. The truth is, majority of those who’ve expressed their opinions are of the view that Charterhouse, the organisers of the VGMAs, were harsh on Shatta and Stonebwoy.
However, Okurasini Samuel of TV3 Mentor fame can’t be counted among those who hold the school of thought that Charterhouse were harsh in their pronouncement. Speaking to FanteQuoo of Inside Prime Page TV, the ex-Mentor contestant voiced that the punishment will serve as a yardstick to all up and coming musicians.
He added that Shatta and Stonebwoy aren’t kids in the music industry, therefore, if they’ve been punished severely by going wayward, it’ll go a long way to deter the up and coming musicians from doing same knowing very well that they won’t be spared if they repeat Shatta & Stonebwoy’s uncouth behavior in the future.
