Samuel Opoku, known in the Ghanaian Gospel Music Industry as Brother Sammy, has alleged the Pentecost Church in Ghana knew that Cecilia Marfo, the “Afunum Ba” hitmaker was into occultism hence their decision to expunge her from the church.

This allegation is on the back of recent reports about the “Afunum Ba” hitmaker conniving with her junior pastor to bury a 50-cedi with the names of some Ghanaian gospel musicians on it in a ritual to bury their career as alleged by Cecilia’s junior pastor.

Brother Sammy in his reaction to the allegations posited that he now understand why the Church of Pentecost expunged her name from their books. He continued that the church knew she was into occultism hence her expulsion but refused to make it public.

It will be recalled that Cecilia Marfo at one of her programs in Kumasi some months ago slapped Brother Sammy who was billed for the program on stage and accused him of occultism. He further backed his claim with an incident that took place at this program. According to Sammy who considers the act as occultism said the embattled evangelist at the said program spat out phlegm for men to eat with the explanation that it’s the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Samuel Opoku who thinks the allegations making rounds are in a way of vindicating him of the accusations she leveled against him also alleged that Cecilia Marfo lashes people in her church. He also alleged that the same ritual was meted to Grace Ashy hence the collapse of Grace’s career.
