NEW YORK, NY – Tekashi 6ix9ine has reportedly pleaded guilty to nine felony counts stemming from his alleged involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang. According to TMZ, the controversial rapper appears to be striking a deal with the feds.
6ix9ine’s legal team entered the guilty plea on January 23. He reportedly copped to multiple counts of racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offenses and narcotics trafficking. Federal documents obtained by TMZ allege the DUMMY BOY artist was involved in dealing heroin, fentanyl, ecstasy, amphetamines and marijuana.
The Brooklyn native was indicted in November on multiple felonious counts. If convicted, he was facing up to life in prison. However, it’s unclear what kind of sentence he’ll receive after entering the guilty pleas. Feds believe multiple acts of murder, robbery and extortion are part of the conspiracy.
6ix9ine has been behind bars since last November. His attorney Lance Lazarro was attempting to put a $1.5 million bail package together but in a recent hearing, a judge questioned Lazarro’s credibility after discovering he’d represented two of 6ix9ine’s co-defendants in the past. He’s now facing removal from the case.
The 22-year-old’s trial was expected to begin on September 4.
