Ghanaian rapper Teephlow says his future with Spyder Lee Entertainment is uncertain as he plans to leave the music label once his four-year contract ends.
The Fante rapper revealed that his decision to leave is because he has some creative differences with his current.
Speaking in an interview on 3FM Drive with Giovani Caleb, Teephlow announced that his departure from Spyder Lee Entertainment is of mutual understanding since he has had discussions with the music label.
The artiste said, “It has to do with a few disagreements here and there. Mainly, I think it is like two different people with two different vision – how they want things.”
“Before you sign any contract, you hope that things are gonna go the way things are supposed to be; but after some time, we realized that things weren’t going towards the path it has to go,” he explained.
The artiste is set to work with ‘Revolve Records’ established by his brother and cousin.
“It is a family thing we are trying to put together,” he said.
Teephlow expressed his lack of interest in signing to existing records but prefers the arrangement he currently has with his family members.
He added that he is at a point in his career where he would rather handle things his own way.
The rapper and song writer also outdoored a new single titled ‘Blessing’ on the show. The song features Nigerian musician, Victor AD.
Meanwhile, his song ‘Forgive’ featuring Adina has been nominated for the Songwriter of the Year for the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Award.
