The 14-time Grammy winner kicked off the last leg of her tour in Miami on Oct. 18 and will end it in Vancouver on Dec. 8
For her last few Eras Tour stops, Taylor Swift wanted crowds who scream the lyrics to “every single song!”
During her second Miami show on Saturday, Oct. 19, the pop superstar, 34, explained to the Hard Rock Stadium crowd how she decided on her final Eras Tour locations.
Just before diving into “Lover,” the 14-time Grammy winner explained that the historic tour has been “all over the world” this year, including Australia, Asia and Europe. The tour initially started stateside in March 2023.
“We decided, if we’re going to end this tour, eventually it has to happen, we gotta pick the crowds and the cities and the places where the crowds are going to be passionate, enthusiastic, screaming the words to every single song, like the most fun crowds imaginable,” Swift explained.
“So,” Swift continued, “there was only one conclusion for how to kick off this last leg, and that is Miami, Florida!”
The star also worked to make the Miami shows — which, as she pointed out, marked her Eras Tour homecoming after a summer abroad — special by inviting a guest to share the stage with her.
On Friday and again on Saturday, the star fittingly brought out her collaborator Florence Welch to perform “Florida!!!” from The Tortured Poets Department together.
Swift and Welch, 38, also shared a sweet onstage moment at the end of the Friday performance, with Welch holding Swift’s head before embracing her with a hug, fan-captured footage shows.
The Oct. 18 show comes after the “Love Story” singer marked her return to the Eras Tour with a sweet video featuring another very special guest: one of her three cats, Olivia.
Ahead of her Friday show, Swift shared a video of herself walking around the empty floor of the Miami stadium before stopping to pet Olivia and take her sunglasses off in slow motion.
“Back in the office 😎,” the superstar captioned the clip, which was set to GloRilla and Sexyy Red’s “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME.”
On Sunday, Oct. 20, Swift will conclude her three-night stint at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium before traveling to New Orleans, Indianapolis and later Canada to wrap up the Eras Tour.
