Taylor Swift and Kelce Family Had a ‘Not Great Experience’ at Buffalo Bills Game, Friend Claims

Bad Blood with the Bills Mafia? Taylor Swift was noticeably absent from watching Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play the Bills in Buffalo, New York, on Sunday, November 17, after Kelce family friend and sportscaster Adam Lefkoe claimed she didn’t have a very good time attending the teams’ last matchup there during the playoffs in January.

“I have heard from people very close that it was not a great experience in Buffalo. It was not. For all parties involved. And I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties,” Adam, 37, told Kay Adams on her Up & Adams YouTube show on November 14.

Taylor, 34, attended the January 21 divisional round game at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium, along with Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie Kelce. The retired Philadelphia Eagles star, 36, went shirtless, pounded beers and celebrated Chiefs touchdowns in the stands outside their box.

“I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got,” Adam continued.

“I think they were kind of going in being like, ‘This is going to be an amazing game with good energy.’ And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form, in its complete ruthlessness,” he added. “And I think they left and went, ‘I don’t know if I want to experience that again.'”

Fans were surprised Taylor skipped the game, as she performed the night before in Toronto, Canada, which was only a 40-minute flight from Buffalo. The close proximity led the NFL to reportedly deny that they scheduled the Chiefs game to coincide with her Eras tour stop.

The decision was “completely unintentional,” CBS Sports reported, citing an NFL source.

Taylor had Sunday free, as she performed Thursday through Saturday shows in Toronto starting on November 14. The Grammy winner has three more Toronto dates, on Thursday, November 21, Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23, before heading to Vancouver, Canada, where Taylor will wrap up her Eras world tour on December 8.

The “Fortnight” songstress has managed to attend five Chiefs home games since their 2024 season started in September, but she has yet to appear at any of boyfriend Travis’ away games.

Travis, 35, previously said how “disrespectful” Buffalo fans were during the January 21 divisional round game, where the Chiefs squeaked past the Bills with a 27-24 win en route to taking home the 2024 Super Bowl trophy the following month.

“There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium, man. Understandable it’s a football game, the Bills, coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? One thousand percent. Did it get a little extra? One thousand percent,” Travis stated on the January 24 episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
