The Tarkwa Association of North America (TANA) has donated a TV set and DVD player to the Tarkwa Special School.
TANA’s representative, Samuel Dadzie of Aktion Store, and Mr. Fynn, a member of the association made the presentation on behalf of TANA.
Anna Mensah-Nti, President of TANA, said the association, which is just a year old is committed to helping other Wassa communities, and this gesture was the first step.
“Our association is committed to serving humanity better, that is why we look for the vulnerable and help”, she added.
She said further collaboration with the school by way of providing educational materials will be enhanced because of the situation in which Special needs students to find themselves.
Samuel Dadzie, the association’s representative in Ghana, told the students and staff of the school to take good care of the items to justify the investment in their welfare.
He said “the world will become a better place if people genuinely help others to improve”. He thanked the headmaster and staff of the school for their patience and great care that have been continuously extended to the Special needs students in Tarkwa.
It was a joyous occasion as the special needs students hugged and exchanged pleasantries with the donor’s representatives.
