Takoradi Kidnappings: Police may be complicit – Concerned Mothers Association
Convener for the Concerned Mothers Association of Ghana, Mrs Josephine Amoh has suggested that the police may be complicit in the kidnapping of three Takoradi girls, ABC News Ghana has gathered.
In an interview monitored by ABC News Ghana, Josephine Amoh attributed the slow pace of work by the police following the kidnapping of some three Takoradi girls to the police’s possible complicity in the crime suggesting mothers of the kidnapped children are at a loss as to the seeming lackadaisical approach by officers investigating the incident.
“You should look at the whole issue. The commander who is also assisting in the investigation has also been transferred from Western Region and we don’t know where He is now. And so if you look at the whole issue you may think they have a hand in it. They have a hand in it and they are not telling us the truth.
Mrs Josephine Amoh further pleaded with the Police to disclose the whereabouts of the missing Takoradi girls to the families irrespective of their circumstances.
“If they know the whereabouts of the girls, whether dead or alive, they should tell us.” She stated.
