Songstress Regina Awinniman Lamisi Anabilla Akuka (Lamisi) has advised young female musicians to take their education seriously while pursuing their music career because getting an education gives one many options in life.

She explained that pursuing an education will give young girls career options to choose from, instead of being dependent on music for survival.

“They should take education seriously because education really gives you options,” she told Prince Benjamin on Tuesday, 29 January 2019 on the Class Drive on Class 91.3FM.

“Because I’m a kind of artiste who is not depending so much on my music, I want to make an impact so even if I’m not making money from my music, I still have options, I could still start a business or get a part-time job or a summer job.

“I’m doing my MPhil, so, I can still teach, I can do something and make money and still go do my singing which I’m passionate about it”, she stated.
