T.I. SAYS HE ‘EMBELLISHED’ SNITCHING ON DEAD COUSIN STORY FOLLOWING BOOSIE BADAZZ SPAT

T.I. has claimed he “embellished” his story about snitching on his dead cousin following his spat with Boosie Badazz.

Boosie called Tip a “rat” during an interview with VladTV earlier this week after being told about T.I.’s confession that he once pinned a gun case on his late cousin Toot.

The Baton Rouge native also axed plans to release a joint album with the Atlanta rap legend, saying his snitching “ruined everything.”

T.I. initially responded to Boosie Badazz by telling him to “pull up,” but now he has properly addressed the situation during an interview with Rich Trapper.

“Shit was confusing because he and I have a relationship,” he began. “When somebody has your phone number or your address and you know they could have called or pulled up, and you have so many very, very important mutual acquaintances, it just baffled me as to how it ended up… the public enemy route is crazy.

“It went from sounding like someone’s uncertain about something, then they went to, ‘This is certainly what happened,’ on the other end of it. Then they went back to, ‘But I’m not certain.’ That to me, I couldn’t follow it. I couldn’t make sense of it. ‘If he did, I’m going to do this, but I don’t think he did.’

“I wouldn’t have ever put it out there like that about nobody I had any kind of relationship with. I would have picked up the phone and said, ‘Did you do this?’ I just appreciate the thought of getting the facts and not just playing in the circus. If you want facts, then you come and ask real questions and get real answers, and have a real understanding.”

T.I. admitted he hasn’t actually watched Boosie Badazz’s interview with DJ Vlad before clearing up his original comments about snitching on his dead cousin, claiming he “embellished” the story.

“I don’t wanna give it too much energy to be honest with you, but what I can do is address the facts,” he said. “For one, the conversation came from a conversation I was having on my platform, expediTIously.

“I have the luxury or the ability to say things that people might not say. I can offer some alternative perspective to the way things are being viewed by the majority. Opening up the floor for conversation about taboo topics, free thinking.

“It came from a conversation that my partner and I was having, and that conversation was, ‘Hey bruh, if me and you catch a case together and I die before you, it’s mine.’ He like, ‘Nah, I can’t do that.’ Yes, you can. It’s mine, why can’t you? I don’t understand it. He said, ‘Nah, I can’t do it. I can’t say nothing about anybody who do, but I can’t do it.’”

He added: “So off of that conversation, I created a set of circumstances, and I thought that the embellishment was clear when I said, ‘I talked to my cousin and he told me.’ Humor, sarcasm and satire, it escaped them.”
