Suge Knight Says He Didn’t Charge Diddy for Death Row Samples on BIG’s Album

Suge Knight gave a rare interview from behind bars to Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267 on “The Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, and he opened up about various topics, including “going to war” to get Dr. Dre out of his contract with Ruthless Records. He mentioned it around the 28:45 mark in the above video, which led to Suge saying that he didn’t charge Diddy anything for the Death Row samples used on Biggie’s first album, Ready to Die.

From there, Suge stated that he put up Death Row as collateral for a $5 million loan from Interscope CEO Jimmy Iovine, which Suge said was used for Snoop Dogg’s murder trial. Suge also revealed that he was responsible for getting David Kenner and Johnnie Cochran on Snoop’s legal team for the case, which he ended up beating.

Later in the interview, Suge shared stories about his friendship with 2Pac, including giving the late rapper $1 million in cash in a briefcase when he got out of jail. Suge then shared a story about 2Pac nearly drowning during a trip to Mexico after trying to swim to get to some women. You can hear the full story above.
