Stonebwoy holds crowd ‘spell-bound’ at 2018 Bhim Concert

December has been a month for music festivals and the Bhim Nation Concert was one of such shows that music lovers could not afford to miss.

This year’s concert, dubbed ‘Fill the Dome’, generated expectations and hype among fans of the dancehall artiste and dancehall lovers in general.

Despite President Nana Akufo-Addo’s absence as special guest of honour, for the many who filled the Fantasy Dome inside Trade Fair Centre on Friday night, the show was worth their penny and time.

The night started with a number of underground artistes who held the audience down till the ‘big shots’ in the industry took their turn on stage.

Stonebwoy, who was the lead act for the night, gave spectacular performances while a good selected number of acts joined him intermittently to entertain the audience.

For hours, Stonebwoy held the crowd spell-bound with remarkable stage acts. His fans, hailing him as their “hero”, could not have enough of the music icon.

On the other hand, patrons danced and sang to hit songs from artistes like Feli Nuna, Sista Afia, KiDi, Patapizzy, Trigmatic, Tinny, Medikal, Joey B, Kwesi Arthur, as well as Sarkodie and Samini.

Music group VVIP, were not left out of the fun as they dished out back to back classics of their hit songs ‘Ahomka Wom’, ‘Kuzo Muyi Wassa’ which got the audience on their feet throughout their performance.

Award winning Jamaican music group, Morgan Heritage, did not disappoint the excited fans who waited all night to watch them perform, although they stayed on for a few minutes.

Fashion icon and broadcaster, Kofi Okyere Darko, looking almost unrecognizable in his Reggae attire as host of the event, also gave some freestyle performances. He pulled it off by singing and dancing to some tunes periodically.

The show ended with Bhim Nation CEO singing his ‘Higher’ hit while showing gratitude to his manager, Blakk Cedi for his support over the past years.

In a traffic jam, concert-goers could be heard reminiscing the show in excitement as they made their way to their various cars and other means of transportation.
