It’s a bad week for Steve Harvey.
Melissa McCarthy will serve as Harvey’s replacement on “Little Big Shot,” the television network announced. “Melissa’s just an incredible performer and incredible comedian,” NBC’s co-chairman of entertainment Paul Telegdy said in a statement about McCarthy before adding that the actress, “will bring a completely fresh perspective to it.”
“Melissa is a strong creative force with her own ideas. Changes will be apparent,” Telegdy added.
At this point, there hasn’t been any confirmation as to when the show will return to the air but NBC did confirm it’ll be back at the 8 p.m slot on Sunday nights following the end of the football season.
Although his daytime talk show on NBC has been canceled, his producers are reportedly shopping the show around to other networks so maybe we’ll see it back on the air soon. In the meantime, he’s still the host of ABC’s “Family Feud.”
