There’s this erroneous perception that Kumasi people don’t support talent which is echoed by the musicians in the capital of Ashanti region. Arguably, the reason why Okyeame Kwame moved to Accra at the peak of his career.

Now, it’s obvious this erroneous notion has got to budding rapper Amerado as he has voiced in a viral footage that he’s no longer a representative of Kumasi. Thus, he has moved Kumasi from his long stay in the Garden City didn’t help his music career.

According to him, the decision to remain a Kumasi-based rapper all this while has not helped him because even though he is a very great rapper just like many of his compatriots in Accra, the attention of the media seems not to be on him.

Amerado emphasized that anybody who sees him from now should refer to him as an Accra rapper because he is in the capital to battle it out with the likes of Medikal and Kwesi Arthur for the throne as the greatest rapper in the new generation.

It’s worth knowing that Amerado isn’t the first Kumasi-based artiste to make this statement. Acts like Okyeame Kwame, Flowkingstone, et al. have once made similar statement. Therefore, there might be an iota of truth in what Amerado is saying.
