US-based Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has cautioned Nigerian music bloggers to desist from dishing out his songs for free download on their platforms.
The controversial singer pointed a finger at owners of music blog NotJustOK after he fell prey to online piracy following the release of his latest song Akamu.
While chastising music promoters for occasionally uploading his songs on their sites without proper permission, Speed Darlington warned owners of the platform to pull down his song in order not to diversify his royalties.
Speed Darlington, who seems furious about the illegitimate upload, wished death on persons complicit of pirating his musical works that reap him of financially.
He took to his Instagram page to write: “NotJustOkay I need you to remove my song. I hear you offering it for free download. Sudden death will find you if you don’t remove my song.
He continued. “Years ago when I was popping heavy I asked you, you didn’t respond, then we met in Texas. You introduced yourself to me. In my mind, I was like ‘so this is the guy that snubbed me?’ Now you posting my song without my permission for free.
“Don’t let sudden death find you remove my song.”
