Simone Biles is taking it easy post-Olympics.
The gymnast — who took home three gold medals and one silver at the Paris games — shared a makeup-free selfie from bed after returning to the U.S. The natural look is a departure from the glam beauty routine she upheld for competition.
On Monday, Aug. 12, the 27-year-old athlete took to Instagram Stories to announce she was back home and resting after an impressive Olympic performance. “Never been so happy,” she wrote over a photo of herself bare-faced and curled up in bed.
Biles also revealed that she’d done a fair amount of partying after the closing ceremonies on Sunday, Aug. 11.
She shared two IGS videos from inside the L’Arc Paris nightclub with the caption, “The reason I’m unwell this morning.” After posting a photo from her airplane showing her arrival back in the U.S., Biles shared another clip from her night out in which she’s dancing and singing along to Waka Flocka Flame’s “Grove St. Party.”
“If you see me out at the club, pls tell me to go home for my own sake & health in the am,” the Olympian wrote, adding a crying laughing emoji.
At the closing ceremonies, Biles was given the honor of carrying the Olympic flag. She appeared on the stage at the Stade de France and was joined by Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass as part of the Paris Olympics’ transition into the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
Ahead of the all-around finals (at which she would win a gold medal), Biles shared a getting-ready video on TikTok, breaking down her beauty routine for competition. In addition from walking through exactly what products she uses, the athlete also revealed a recent Botox mishap.
“I have a funny story for you guys,” she started. “So, for my 27th birthday, I got Botox, like, baby Botox, just right here in my T-zone, and I did not like it. So I haven’t got it again, and mind you that was back in March.”
She explained that one of her eyebrows would lift on its own while she was at practice, which her fellow gymnasts would point out to her, and she couldn’t get it to go back down for nearly 20 seconds at a time.
Now, Biles continued while crinkling her forehead, she can do “all the facial [expressions].”
“Not doing that again,” she declared of the cosmetic procedure.
