Show what you have – Akwaboah to Medikal and Strongman
Ghanaian highlife artiste, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Junior has advised Medikal and Strongman not to take anything to heart from their ongoing musical beef and move on after it finally ends.
The singer in an interview with ZionFelix stated that he believes it is not unusual for artiste to disagree with each other in the music industry. However, the issue arises when either of them no longer sees the fun aspect and take the whole thing personal.
As a way of advising both artistes involved in this current musical feud, Akwaboah went further into details by describing the whole thing as a joke where both rappers need to show what they are capable of and progress with their individual business afterwards.
“I think that rap is like that; it’s just you showing what you are made of. But you don’t have to take it into heart thinking that you have bad blood or something of the sort with someone.
“When you are done showing what you have you continue. You don’t have to think it’s a fight or anything. So eventually if somebody throws a shot and deserves a shot back, you give the person a reply.
“That does not mean it is a fight. It’s all jokes. We must understand how these things work or else you will always have some bad blood or bad heart against somebody. And besides that is how rap is.” Akwaboah explained.
Despite his advice, the singer when asked who his choice would be between Ghanaian rappers Strongman and Medikal concerning the diss tracks already released between the two artistes, Akwabaoh without hesitation answered that he will always root for strongman because they go way back.
“I will honestly not leave Strongman to follow any other person. He has been my friend, my label mate and he will forever be.
“If today Sarkodie is going to do anything, I won’t follow anybody except him. Let’s just be honest. This is not even about who is good or not. Even if Strongman did not do the right thing, he is still my mate and I’m gonna go for him.
“Medikal is equally good, but if you have something good at home, you keep it,” Akwaboah said.
