Barely few days after being crowned/enskinned as the Dancehall Naa or Dancehall King by the traditional people of Tamale, Shatta Wale has gone on a ‘promising spree’ in his new capacity as a King.

First, he told George Quaye of Joy FM that he will set up a big studio to help the youth of the area in terms of music.

He’d said:

“Yes, i promise the big Chiefs and Elders over there that i will soon set up huge studio in Tamale and teach the youths how to make music. Teach them how to make good songs, get hit songs and make some money out of music.” Read more here…

The ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker has also promised to go into a large scale farming to serve as as source of employment or the youth of the area and beyond.

He said:

“I have this farming thing i do on the low with Macassio and so this time around, i told the Elders over there that i would love to go into more large scale farming, so as to bring more employment to the youths of Tamale, and so i asked them to give me a big land.”

It looks like Shatta Wale has began acting like a politician more than a traditional ruler but it early days yet so let’s all support him to achieve his goals for the people of Tamale.

The Chief of Tamale, Nyeb-Dakpema Fusieni Bawa, enskinned the multiple award winning artist as ‘Dancehall Naa’ which means Dancehall King at a short ceremony in Tamale on Friday, June 7 2019
