Shark Tank’s Emma Grede Announces New Podcast, Major Guests Booked: ‘Honest and Unfiltered’ (Exclusive)
Emma Grede announced her new podcast Aspire with Emma Grede. The podcast will feature “honest and unfiltered” conversations with business moguls, starting with Gwyneth Paltrow
“Aspire is my way of scaling mentorship. There’s so much advice out there, but most of it doesn’t reflect the reality of what it actually takes to build something or change your life,” she tells PEOPLE about the new project
Entrepreneur Emma Grede, a co-founder of Good American and Skims among other brands, is getting into the podcast biz — and yep, it’s about biz!
The mom-of-four is announcing Aspire With Emma Grede, produced by Audacy, where she talks to fellow successful company founders about their wins, losses and what they’ve learned along the way. The first two episodes, featuring Gwyneth Paltrow and Mellody Hobson (the former chair of Starbucks), drop on May 6.
The following episodes will arrive every Tuesday, and guests lined up include Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin and Jay Shetty along with other celebrity entrepreneurs, including actresses, models and Hollywood agents. They’ll all share their philosophies, habits and strategies that have fueled their journeys.

“I’ve spent my entire career building businesses from scratch and learning from some of the most brilliant minds along the way,” Grede tells PEOPLE of why she wanted to launch the show.
“Aspire is my way of scaling mentorship. There’s so much advice out there, but most of it doesn’t reflect the reality of what it actually takes to build something or change your life. I wanted to create a space that’s honest, unfiltered and useful. And honestly, there’s no better time than now.”
Grede, who was a high school dropout and raised by a single mom in London, has been candid about how she found success, often through roundabout ways and, of course, with plenty of missteps along the way. She says the podcast isn’t meant to intimidate, but to inspire.

“It’s not just about the Instagram-ready version of success,” says the British-born former Shark Tank shark, who is married to fellow entrepreneur, Skims co-founder Jens Grede.
“That’s not a good use of people’s time. I intend that you get something out of it that you can use right away. Because I’ve made every mistake in the book and I’m not afraid to talk about it, and neither are my guests. This isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress.”
It’s also about paving the way for fellow up-and-coming business founders.
Notes Grede, “I love the idea that you can aspire for something and then work hard towards it, but for me, aspiration isn’t about status or titles, it’s about using your drive to create impact, build something and leave doors open behind you.”
She wants it noted that Aspire isn’t just for other business leaders. It’s for anyone who has goals in mind or wants to change something about their current life.
“Whether you’re running a business, switching careers or just figuring out what you want to do next. You don’t need to be a founder or have a five-year plan. If you’re curious, motivated and willing to learn, this show is for you,” she says.
Earlier in 2024, Grede talked to PEOPLE about her Roku series Side Hustlers, saying, “I have had pretty severe learning difficulties, and I didn’t go to college or university. I was a high school dropout. But if you’re not good at something, you can get good. I now know that it’s called a growth mindset.”
She added, “I never think about intelligence or aptitude or ability as being fixed things — I would say for anyone out there, you can get better at almost anything.”
