Summer officially ends on Saturday, and Selena Gomez is making the most of the season’s last call, at least sartorially. The singer and actress ate at Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica yesterday, wearing an all-white ensemble over a jean jacket. Gomez isn’t the only celebrity to ignore the “no white after Labor Day” fashion rule; Meghan Markle also stepped out in multiple monochrome white looks while at the Invictus Games last week.
Gomez’s mostly white outfit comes after the star wore a bright pink one to Universal Music’s Music and Health summit on Tuesday. Her Giuseppe Di Morabito pantsuit stood out as a shining example of how Barbiecore isn’t going anywhere as the temperature lowers. She accessorized the look with Tiffany & Co. jewelry and Betsey Johnson heels.
During the panel, Gomez spoke about why she has no plans to ever watch her Apple TV+ documentary, My Mind and Me, again.
“I was very against it,” Gomez said of how she initially felt about filming My Mind and Me. “There was a very long period of time where I just didn’t know if it was a good idea. I knew, eventually, one day I wanted to maybe just be an actress for a while, and I didn’t know if it would jeopardize things in my life. I don’t know what I’m doing, letting people into my life. And then the moment it was released….I had no choice at that point. And I was relieved. I felt like a huge weight was lifted.”
“I felt like I got to say things that I’ve been keeping in for years,” she added. “It’s very hard for me to watch. I will never watch it again, but I’m very proud of it. I couldn’t have been luckier to have the people that worked on it with me.”
